I'm sure some of you have seen me around the forum here and there, but I thought that I would introduce myself.
Some of you may recognize me from another forum (that I have since been banned from as most of the users didn't agree with me). I just wanted to say that I am 1 billion percent honest that I am NOT here to cause trouble.
My name is Melissa and I am 23yrs old. I do not have any dogs at the moment as I had to surrender my babies a few months ago (in sig). I surrendered them to Mackay S.P.C.A where they have a no kill policy. I had called them up every few days to see how my dogs were. The lady told me that Keira was rehomed the next day! I called a week or so later and Jackson was also rehomed.
I had made a VERY stupid decision, and as a result, my dogs had to suffer and be surrendered. It was the most hardest thing I have ever done, and I had cried for days afterwards. I still shed tears every now and then. I can honestly tell you all that I have learnt from my mistake...
Which brings me to why I am in a forum again...
I have wanted a brown newfie ever since I was about 15. I saw someone walking one while I was on my bus trip to my yr10 woodwork camp. I had no idea what kind of dog it was, and spent hours google searching until I found out it was a newfie. I want to name him Ferrero
I was on a few different waiting lists for a few years LONG before I got the dogs I surrendered. I gave up on getting my Ferrero as there was always something stopping my baby boy from being born. I then got Keira and Jackson.
After I had surrendered my dogs and knew they had new homes, my boyfriend told me I could go on a newfie waiting list again. Just by chance, my little Ferrero was born on October 7th, but I had to decline as we are moving to Cairns at the end of this month and it wasn't fair to drag the puppy along with us while we weren't settled. It was so hard to tell the breeder that I couldn't take him, considering he gave him a ribbon and kept him for me
I am now on the waiting list again for the next litter. They aren't breeding again until March next year. I just hope it is a brown litter so that I can FINALLY get my Ferrero!
I'm sorry for the novel post, but I felt a bit guilty being in the forum knowing how much damage was done in another forum that I know some of you also visit.
I just want to start over...
