Smile Hi everybody from regional SA

Hi, I found your forum while searching the internet. Great stuff.

We have two dogs. Suzy is an eight yr old female Kelpie x Staffy. She is golden and very good at hypnotising you with her big brown eyes. Supposed to belong to my son, but he is 18 now and 'in luuuurrrve'. I have to re-train her to not pull on the lead. Groan!

Chappie is an 11mth old male rescue puppy who resembles a Belgian Malinois x. He has the most beautiful nature which could be partly because he and his siblings were raised by human rescue mums, as their doggy mum died when the pups were two weeks old. He is totally different to any other dog we have ever owned before. Very soft and sensitive! He adores our grumpy senior cat Oscar and the feeling appears to be mutual. Belongs to my husband but he loves everyone. He is a real softy with his big smile and happy attitude.

I am chief dog walker and trainer in my family of three. Living between two towns makes it a bit tricky to commit to anything, but my aim is to take Chappie to some sort of training in Whyalla, SA when we are here.

Look forward to chatting with like minded people and learning lots!

Hi maddogdodge, love your dogs! Our old kelpie went to heaven last year aged 16 yrs old. He was so special.

Sadly I am not a modern enough person to be able to get the photos from my phone onto the laptop and them onto this website. Perhaps some kind person could guide me one day.

I have heaps of photos which I would like to share, particularly as we don't really know what mix of breeds Chappie is. Coming from a community in outback SA he probably has dingo in him somewhere. I found him on Petrescue when he was 6 weeks old, showed hubby (who had had a dog from the same kind of background before and always raved about him) and then he was ours at 8 weeks old!

Thanks Farrview, beautiful BC! I had a BC x when I was little, she was such a gorgeous dog. Does your dog love to play fetch? Have I mentioned how obsessed Chappie is with fetch?

Hi Bernie, yes I'm not very modern when it comes to technology! I have some photos that I would love to show you!
Suzy is trying for control of her people, if only she could get her messages through to the stupid humans. She stares at you for ages until you realise what she actually wants, and if you don't cotton on quick enough, she starts 'moaning'. I have become expert at tuning her out when she is being unreasonable.

You have GSDs? Chappie and I met three at the Dog Park in Whyalla the other day, beautiful dogs.

Hi Chappiedog and welcome to the forum,

To place a picture in your post...this is what I do... (doesn't have to be Photobucket).

1 Copy your pics from your phone to your Desktop

2 Open an account on Photobucket and upload your pics into your library and log out.

Sign into this forum and hit...Reply to Thread...open new tab and type Photobucket and sign in...open your Library select photo you wish to put into your post. On the right hand side left click inside the IMG box...this copies the pic...then go back to your post and click paste.

You will see your pic...the above pic was taken by me on my phone of Chloe in the car some time ago...hope this helps.

Hi Dogman, thankyou for your help!

Wise words of technological knowledge are much appreciated.

I will try it out soon. Think I need a SD card or something to transfer photos from phone onto. Bit embarrassing being so ignorant.

    Chloe is beautiful.

No you don't need an SD card...you're thinking of a Camera. Your phone comes with a USB cable...plug one end into your phone and the other into the USB port on your computer and wait till it loads.

When you see Auto Play box close it by clicking the red cross in the right top corner...Double click Computer icon (I'm on Windows 7) then double click your phone icon...you'll see a Hard Drive...double click it.

You'll see about 10 Folders...one of these will be called Pictures...double click it and you'll see all your pics...just double click one to open it...then you can copy and paste or cut and paste them to your Desktop folder...then close and remove.

You can do the same thing with a Camera or Camcorder but you do need SD cards for these two but no need for any software either...just plug them in.

Anyway give it a try...don't be embarrassed as we all have to learn these things because it's the norm today...once you do it a few times it will become second nature...when I went to school we still had black and white TV...waiting for your pics.
