    Thankyou Maddogdodge.

I did it thanks to you! They are sideways though, sigh. I will learn I s'pose and you will have less to guide me through.

I will try again soon. At least you have some idea of what Chappie looks like.

sideways photos are something to do with iphones I think. Drives me nuts... especially when people shoot videos and they come out either portrait or sideways.

My Samsung - on the other hand - will let me take photos upside down and c/o the gravity sensor in it - always displays them the right way up - until you load them onto the computer... and then if I was holding the phone upside down - the photo comes across upside down (no gravity sensor in the computer).

Chuckle chuckle thanks Bernie and Hyacinth... no doubt I shall keep you all amused!

My humble phone is a Nokia 530. Goodness knows why the pics came out sideways. Chappie is still recognizable though thank goodness.

    Hmm

Somewhat more than I could ever know about a Nokia Lumia 530 and taking photos

    Nokia Lumia 530 - Camera - User Guide - Help - Microsoft - Australia

My first phone was a nokia, and then I got something tiny and useless (nobody could hear me), and then I got a nokia N85 which was really nice. But didn't have a touch screen and maps were a bit erm... I could not get talking navigation to work in Europe even tho I thought I'd paid for it.

Hmm looks like the help was written by the same people who wrote help for windows 3.1 (argh)

Totally and completely obsessed with the ball or frisbee or stick or piece of cuttlefish or bit of anything at all that can be thrown and retrieved.
