I'm curious whether it's because we've had a few runs of warmer nights vs the cooler nights a week or so ago. That said it's meant to be cool again for the next week or 2, wonder if it'll slow down again.

    Suspicious puppyface:

    Love the suspicious face Gorgeous!

Considering spring is only a month away, it wouldn't surprise me if the shedding just increases from now until summer.
I was surprised to discover today that my boy has started to get ready for summer early. This is what I got out of him today, which is a lot more than i normally would in winter. I'd say this is because it has been quite a warm winter this year... as warm as a victorian winter can get that is

The above pic would be the result of about 20 minutes brushing i'd say...

weather forecast is for el nino - long hot dry summer - drought even, and devastating floods in south America.

not looking forward to that tho sometimes in SA we get more influence from the Indian Ocean - depending on how much forest burning has been going on in Indonesia...

Still usually do OK out of el nino years in terms of rain up North here - though they seem to be the years with the stronger (but less frequent) cyclones. One upside to the North I guess is you don't get heatwaves - it's just always hot and disgusting. Outer suburbs around Canberra (out West), or Melbourne (SE suburbs are nice) would probably be my ideal spot

    Couple more puppy pics:

    Aww!

I live on the Northwest edge of Canberra. Too many paddocks here to my liking. I want to move a bit more south soon. We are fortunate enough to have 3 pounds within cycling distance, which is great during a heat wave.

did autocorrect not know what a "pond" is?

I hate what the forum auto correct does to the word "staffies"

I swear the puppy photos look like someone has given him boot polish spectacles.

I think even Tas got 40's last summer.

The old ink on the binoculars trick His markings were definitely unique. The eye rings have become a whole lot less prominent now he's darkened up.

He's made a bit of a mess of his bed - though it was pretty old. It was still comfortable though apparently even though he was basically laying on the floor

Quick trip to bunnings, a $20 roll of shade sail material and a few zipties later, I think it has his approval again

Good idea to fix it yourself rather than buy a new one

My dad got an old bed like that through his work (Scrap metal) The frame is original but the original cloth is gone and has been replaced with a hessian bag. The dogs absolutely love it
