Default southern suburbs frankston meet up

Hey my name is jenna im 24. So my dog milo is 10months. Big. Boxer x kelpie and loves to play with other dogs so much id love to meet others in or around frankston area for milo to meet some new friends to play and socialize with. If successful and a few at first are interested im thinkin maybe meet up every weekend or fortnight on either a Saturday or sunday.. Milo would love to make to meet your furry friends.

Anyone from anywhere in Melbourne welcome

Ideally an oval of some sort would be great to meet up at to social both us and our dogs. As milo is big im thinkin more medium to xlarge dogs however small dogs are of course welcome

So what do ya think!!? Should we make this happen!!!

    Welcome JennaMelb

Hopefully you get a few like minded souls to join you. If you check your council web page, dog friendly areas may be listed there as "dog parks" or "off lead parks" or even dog friendly beaches. I find if I show up to the local version of this - I meet lots of dog owners and their dogs.

If you meet up with anyone who is a DogsVic member, they can hire/book a fenced exercise area of KCC park - which is near Skye/Cranbourne.

    Well, is a good idea,
    just an idea...
Well, frankston dog club on mcclelland drive just past skye rd, where safeway petrol station is.
they meet up on Saturdays if i remember, about lunch time. tho is a club you have to pay to join ect, but does obedience training and some dog sports ect.

i live in carrum downs. but currently dont have a dog at moment.

well i did sorta want it to be a social thing for the dogs benefit more than the owners since milo just loves to play but is timid toward dogs at first so i wanna expose him to more dogs.
didnt really wanna be apart of a obedience club.
thats why im hoping there will be some people on here willing to get my idea started

    if not then ah well.

Our obedience club, and quite a few around Adelaide are in public spaces, so you can still go with your dog and hang round the edges, meet people and their dogs in a controlled way (dogs will probably be on lead).

If the Frankston one is like that - you might still want to check it out even if you don't want to join. And those people would have some more ideas for you about meet ups.

If you hang around here, i'll be spending some time down your way now and then and will be glad to meet up with someone with a dog big enough to play with brock

And sorry but I've just read your post where you say your dog is timid with other dogs ... that won't work well with Brock. Good luck, just search your local area for off leash dog areas and you'll find plenty of places to meet and socialise your dog
