Talking Hi Everyone!

I joined the forum a few days ago. I have two dogs.. Pepsi who is a Jack Russell and is almost 17 years old and Mimi who is ? and is 18 months old. Mimi has been a life saver to us who were having trouble adjusting to retirement. She has kept us active, fit and interested in our surrounds.

Hello and welcome Melba. I look forward to getting to know you and your clan. What a wonderful age your JR has reached.

Thank you all for your warm welcome! Pepsi is a female Jack Russell. She, knock on wood, has never been sick and only just recently been attacked by a Border Collie and had her first anaethetic to stitch the wound. She still has her sight (dimming slightly understandably) and her hearing. Being a little overweight, she joined the Biggest Looser Competition the RSPCA were running but failed miserably... she was PUTTING ON weight!! So, now we let her enjoy her food, take her for walks (up to an hour) but most of the time, she sits on the couch until she hears the pantry door open!! Food and telling every other dog off at the park are her passtimes.

I have posted some photos of Mimi and one of Pepsi (others seem to fail but will try again later). Can anyone view them? I am not sure how the album's section works.

    Welcome Melba.

Good to hear Pepsi is still doing well at 17. Our Pug Arwen is 16 and she is still boss dog around here. She keeps the 13 month old Sheltie and the 21 month old Whippet firmly in their places. It was very naughty but I had to laugh yesterday at brisket bone time. Kenna Sheltie was glued to the back door trying to get back inside and Strada Whippet was hiding in the garden shed. The little old Pug had stolen their bones and was guarding them in the middle of the lawn. The others didn't dare question her authority.

I had a look at your photos. Mimi looks like a real sweetie. She looks different in each photo. Really hard to pick the breeds in her. Her head puts me very much in mind of a Pointer cross but then I look at another photo and see something else. A real mystery girl.

Looking forward to hearing more about your canine family.
