    Gutless pigs.

The saddest part, is that even if they catch them, they'll just get a slap on the frickin' wrist. Australia really needs to up the ante on our animal neglect and mistreatment legislation.

Terrible When we went to the RSPCA to adopt Molly somebody had tied their mastiff cross to the front fence, it was horrible to think somebody could do that to their pet! I also have a friend who adopted a dog who was 12 years old, had a seziure so the owners took it to the vets and then never came back to pay their bill or pick their dog up... how can you own and love a dog for 12 years and then abandon it when it gets sick?! Just heart breaking. If it was a child they would be put in jail for life... the same penalties should be applied with animals!

They really need to start cracking down on microchipping... imagine if every dog/puppy was microchipped with the owner's and breeder's details before it was sold! It may or may not stop people abusing animals like this but at least it may be easier to track down the offender and punish them!

You are so right 99, i watched a doco on some of Australias worst mass killers martyn Bryant and julian knight. Both were thrill mass killers who shot and killed people at random...for fun.

In the doco, they were trying to find out what would motivate someone to do something so violent and cruel. They spoke to family members and friends and they told the story that both used to inflict horrific cruelty on animals as children.

I am not saying that applies to everyone, but they seem to think its a very good indicator for thrill killings in later life.

Yes, real tough treating a vunerable animal that way.

Humans are THE ONLY species that shit in there own nest (well, except got my friends chi x..lol)! We destroy our own environment and that of every other species in the world...how intelligent is that?

It's called the 'homicidal triad'. Bedwetting, fire lighting and acts of cruelty upon animals. Often seen in those with anti-social personality disorder or psychopathy. Strangely enough, owning a Volkswagen Beetle was another similarity at one time!

That said, not all psychopaths, sociopaths or personality disordered individuals will act out, and 'normals' seem to have many incidences of inappropriate behaviour such as this dog's example. It's been a long time since animals were thought not to have feelings. About time some individuals caught up.

I know we are all capable of going intentional harm under the right circumstances. I think this would be mine.

that is so mean... people are cruel. God sake it costs next to nothing to take a pet to the RSPCA. Stupid wankers.
No one loves you like your dog does.
