Haha! That is what my loungeroom used to look like every day when I came home from work the first couple of months I had Banjo. Now most days there is no mess! Still occasionally a tiny one, but usually only if I forgot to put the bin bag away. She still cannot resist wooden things like hairbrushes or wooden spoons if she can reach them though. So now we just buy plastic ones.

LOL I am loving the photos!!! it honestly is making me feel better. Hooch stole our dinner last night off the kitchen benchtop, took it outside.
My son said to my husband (I was at work).. "Daddy did you give Hooch our dinner?"
He also started gnawing on his Kennel!! We sprayed it with bitter spray. IF it doesnt work I am going to put chili on his tail! lol

The only hassle with chilli - is that all my pups have loved chilli !

Yeah its not just you, i think we all have our horror stories. I had a Staffy that chewed up a metal sprinkler, that was fun with the lawn mower for quiet some time. I have birds who rearrange all the stuff on top of the cupboards and now 2 naughty dogs who " throw Parties" and dont invite me every time I turn my back. But I wouldn't change a single thing about any of it. I love my pets just the way they are. (after Ive calmed down and urge to kill them passes lol)

i think vicks vapour rub works much better than chilli - cos dogs just learn to love chilli

They don't like the taste of aloe vera much either. Or raw olives (straight off the tree).

Vicks would need to be reapplied daily at least, cos it loses strength over time. And you might want to give puppy something else to chew instead.

I have been known to put food I'm not cooking - into the microwave or the cold oven - to stop evil hound from getting it. But I also find stacks of tin cans along the counter edge helps. it's nasty but effective - the self inflicted aversive.
