Default C'mon fess up ! What breeds dont you like ?

I thought it may be interesting for people to confess what breeds they dont like and the reason why.
We all say what breeds we really love but no one really likes to say what breeds they dislike. I'm thick skinned so if ya dont like B.M's feel free to say so......i wont pack a sad and start a argument.
And not just the old...."Oh, Pitbulls kill kids" crap. I wanna hear things like....' to big', 'to small', 'to goofy looking'...or 'to popular' even.

I'll man up and admit to not been a big fan of Greyhounds and Whippets. They are just to lanky and wierd looking for me. Hairless dogs dont rate highly with me either. And my old girls Shihtzu 'Sammy' is the biggest, little $hit i've ever met......kinda puts me off all of them really.

So c'mon be brave and fess up what breeds or type of xbreed looking dogs ya DONT like.....and remember 'Each to thier own'.

I am not really a fan of Labrador's. The ones I've come in contact with have been awesome but it is not a breed I would own. Poodles as well, I am not a fan of their look. And even though I've been part owner (when I was a kid :P), blue/red heelers as well - not sure why with the cattle dogs. I've also been bitten by one before so that could be why! haha. And of course, designer dogs... not a fan of any of them mainly because of what they represent in my mind.

I would still never pass up a pat and hug from any of these breeds though.

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Not a fan of poodles (well I suppose moreso their owners who dye their fur pink or whatever colour and give them poonsy haircuts lol), every chihuahua I have come across is like a ferocious little beast lol. Golden retrievers are absolutely gorgeous, but like Jadie not a big fan of labs.

OK so you put us in the middle of a mine-field and tell us to walk on..........LOL

I from a training point of view will tell you which groups I like working with...that is the Working dog Group (GSD's, Blue heelers, Kelpies, Aussies, BC's etc), the Utility Group ( Rotties, Dobes, Mastiffs, Newf's, Saint, Berners and such) and the Gundogs, love training labradors, Flat coat, Golden, chesapeake, any spaniel type and all the gundogs really. And I do like the sight hounds, but they are not my fav to train.......

I'm not real keen on "fluffball" types. Poms, Maltese, Shiz Tsu, Poodles, etc.

I guess I like dogs like I like men: not too pretty, a little bit of attitude and a tad scruffy.

Ha ha, yeah sorry Newfs....but you got out of that too easy !!! Surely theres one breed your not really a fan of ??.
I mean, i'd give a big pat to any dog no matter what breed but theres some i just simply dont find attractive. C'mon Newfsie, i know yor a really helpfull and friendly lady. No ones gunna think diffrently of you if you just quietly mention one breed. If they do i'll stick up for ya !! It's the least i could do for someone who's been a big help to me and Mojo. LOL..

i think poodles cop a bad wrap because of the makeovers they receive, its not their fault their owners have a screw loose, when you get to know the nature of the dogs under all that fur (preferably by cutting it all off) you'll know they are pretty much labradors

i personally don't like any breed that has traits that kind of inhibit them, i think of it as backwads evolution, i don't like dashies or pugs (any pug i see seems to be constantly struggling for breath)

    thanks, joel.

OK..........I am not too keen on small poodle crosses, especially maltese cross or shitzu .......Actually I am not too keen on Maltese, there you are, you got a breed LOL, nearly all the really aggressive dogs I work with are Maltese or maltese cross. I have a couple of scars. The only true bite, I have had is from a maltese

But I do love poodles and I love training poodles, all sizes. They are great at Obedience, agility and such. And amazingly enough I do like quite a few Labrador x poodles and Golden retriever x poodles......

I dont really like anything that has Shih Tzu or Maltese or chihuahua in it... they're just so... small.... and yappy.... and annoying... i will admit i know some lovely Shih tzu X's, and i am sure they can be great pets... but they're just not for me!
