Awww K&P it is going to be so hard for you to part with that little gem! Such a cutie and I am soo glad he is coming out of his shell. Fostering is so rewarding yet so heartbreaking at the same time.
Owning a dog should be a partnership. Much like a good marriage it should be based on love, trust and devotion until death do you part.

Haha, unfortunately that can't happen, I am at my perm dog limit. I am single, live on my own, work 2 jobs (totaling more than 60 hours a week) and rent. If by some miracle I won the lotto and could buy my own place and quit my day job then I would definitely keep him, I doubt that will happen though haha.

Yep will definitely be hard to let him go, but he won't be going to anyone but the best, I won't put him through the trauma of going to another home and bouncing back again.

    Sorry! Busy busy busy.

    So update.

Carter's foot got infected, and he was no weight bearing last Thursday, he had chewed off some of his pad! Not sure if he had an allergic reaction to something then irritated it or if he was just chewing on it because of stress, anyways off to the vet we went on Friday, got a shot of meds and some A/b's and some antiseptic and it is clearing up quite good now, it will take a while for the pad to completely heal but otherwise has started using it properly again and seems much better then it did. (It was pussie and gross on Thurs/Fri).

Saturday I finally introduced Phi and Carter and it went really well, Carter was a bit unsure of Phi at first and Phi did drive by zoomies to try and get him to play, then my sister and I took them for a walk which helped, they played kissy face on the walk LMAO. Saturday night my sister dogsat as I was at a wedding and they were good together.

Sunday I took Phi and Carter out to a lure coursing race day, initially I was only running Phoenix but Carter looked interested so I gave him a go and he is a natural, so we had a great day out, he got to meet a few people and got some lovin' (so did Phi) and they had a ball chasing the lure on their turns. He did absolutely fantastically, he is such a well behaved dude, just cruised around, not reactive at all to the other dogs.

I let him sleep in my bed last night and he just looked so bloody stoked to be able to sleep near me, he curled up and pretty much didn't move all night, Phi didn't seem overly happy to be sharing the bed and me (she hasn't had to for a while) but she got over it and took up her usual spot under the covers/next to my leg, but she was a little more sooky then normal.

Carter seems more and more interested in playing with Phi every day which is nice as he didn't seem to want to at first, he still looks unsure at times but every now and then they will zooom around the backyard together or rumble(wrestle) on the ground for a while.

So that is where we are. No current inquiries on him but I intend on getting him out and about. One of the ladies from the rescue has been making Adopt Me coats in our colours with the dogs names on them and they look awesome, she is going to make one for Carter, so I will be getting him out and about in it as much as possible to try and find an adopter (and just coz he is such a great breed ambassador).

Did something happen to Keira in my absence?

    Nope Keira is still here.
She is dog aggressive and severely reactive so her and Carter haven't even seen each other, they can smell each other around the house and hear each other but nothing else.
I am still deciding on if I should crate them next to each other and let them have a sniff and see how it goes, see if she is going to react to him or not but even then they will never be allowed together. Keira is too unpredictable.
