Were you on Dogzonline yesterday also?

My advice, desex him and offer him to a local rescue group that takes in surrenders. GAP are not the only rescue that handles Greys in Vic (although they are expert on this breed though).

Jeeze, i wouldnt want to be one of your dogs, no use for him, so just turf him out to whoever, If you cant afford to desex him, how the hell can you afford to get another dog to fill ya kennels up......

Greyhound owners are renown for looking at their dogs purely as racing dogs and not pets. Hence why they are able to euthanase them or re-home them without emotional attachment.

In having said that, madlee must have some small attachment as he is trying to give him away rather than give him the green dream.

I worked for a Greyhound Vet for many years. My first day as a Vet Nurse involved me learning how to find the vein of a Greyhound so that he could be injected with valabarb to end his days...his problem? - he barked too much and wasn't a fabulous runner.

When the Greyhound industry decides to show some responsibility, and at least attempt to do the right thing by the dogs by the minimum of desexing them and finding suitable homes, then I might learn to respect the industry.
