Default Never Seen a GSD This Colour Before

I own a 10 months old Purebred GSD (German Shepherd) her name is Callie. I met her mother and have seen many pictures of her father, she is papered and so on. her father was completely black and her mother a black and tan sable. Callie has tan points but is predominantly black with sabling underneath her black fur but not easily seen, although she does have a bit around her neck and shoulders. what colour would i call her and will she sable out anymore?[IMG][/IMG] Thanks Guys

    She sure is beautiful

I have seen a few GSD's around my area that have that colouring!

She's a bi-colour. Uncommon but not rare - more common in working lines

btw no such thing as a black and tan sable - it's either black and tan or sable. You can have a black sable, gold sable, liver sable, and what they are now refering to as silver - which is just sable.

This girl may grow up to be sable btw. Is her undercoat dark or light?

Here is a good site with colour listings

Ive owned a black and silver, black and tan, faded black and tan (cappy and flash and probably billie too - Cappy had the dilution gene from his mother), liver sable and that's it. Whilst your girl is very pretty, I don't find bi-colours and solid colours appealing - guess that's the showie in me lol.

Occy the GSD I took on many long years ago was described on her pedigree as "wolf sable" in colour. Is this still an acceptable colour or do they now call it something else?

Callie is certainly very pretty, Redial.

I think that would just be called sable now DH, but as I said, theyve recently started to refer to them as gray though which strikes me as odd.
