The newfie came back as a GSD x Chow. Could have coped with any of the mastiff breeds or labrador/Golden/chesapeake/curly

He had paperwork from hundred year plus and he was thrown in as a check....it was in the days when it cost $200.

I'd love to know what Oskar was crossed with.

I did it privately through here:
Dog DNA Test, Dog Breed Test, ASAP Lab Canine DNA Testing, Australia Wisdom Panel Canine Genetic Analysis
Their customer service is great and it is an Australian dog database with the genetic makeup of the Australian kind (not the USA that 99.9% of the companies are).

The one with the Newfie was USA....

We have DNA tested all our newfies for genetic problems via Bowral vet.......Not sure who they use

    interesting mix..

I have thought about getting my dog tested, people often ask me what she is and i just say lab x golden to shut them up lol
I have thought about saying she was a long haired labrador to confuse people

Apparently DNA markers of Australian dogs might be different to the American same breeds. USA DNA tests are cheaper but I did read you may get different results because their database doesnt contain Australian DNA markers.
This one uses ASAP labs in Victoria.

Well, the non-barking bit certaily backs up the Basenji... they do bark, but not like other dogs, it's more like a strangled sound than a standard bark. So it's more than likely his dislaike of barking is from the physical basenji dna than an intrinsic distaste for the action.

And yay for me for picking the rottie!!!! The eyebrows are a dead ringer for a rottie's expression.

    But he's just soooo cute!
