HI everyone. As I write this I am fighting to see the keyboard through my tears.

It is far, far worse than we all imaginied. The tumor has multiplied rapidly, and they are spread right through her gut. The bladder tumor has spread through the bladder wall and has attached to her abdominal wall. There is nothing at all that we can do. Robert rang from mid-surgery to advise what had happened, and he cried along with me as we digested the new outcome we are facing.

Tonight she is on a pain drip to ease the discomfort from having her bits prodded and opened up; I am to check in again in the morning to see when I can bring her home to prepare for that one final walk I am still struggling to digest that I have to take.

My Rosie girl is now beyond my help, and all I can give her is a happy and quiet final fight until she is ready to say 'done'. I feel so awful for her, because she is such a good dog.

I'm not going to be about much for the next little while - I'll update when I can face it.

Thanks everyone for your support and good wishes, they mean so much.

    Oh Pinkest,

I am so so sorry to read this. All we can do for our 'pups' is to allow them to go when they need to - not when we want. Rosie girl is not beyond your help - you being brave just need to take the next step.

From someone who has a bit of experience - it is never easy !

    Take care

Aww Pinkest, crying for you. I know you'll make the most of every minute with Rosie, give her hugs and smiles and take in as much of her as you can. Be strong, she's your girl ...

I am so sorry Pinkfest...this will be a tough road for you. I lost one of my newfs December before last to Lymphoma and we just gave him the best time we could for as long as we could. Dogs are not like humans, they have no idea what is happening and just see the day as it is. So you can give them happy times....It will not be easy for you and I am thinking of you lots of hugs...Remember we are here, to listen. I know I was very lucky to be on my newfie forum where people were very supportive. Take care
