Default Annabelle the Demo dog at Paws in the Park

It was hot yesterday and i thought I would use Tessa for the quadrille Demo team....Well for the first Demo, she was just so.....

So I used Annabelle for the next three. And even though she was hot she was her usual reliable self.

She also did carting and she did some Rally obedience and agility.....
    .
This is her favorite thing to do ....... Someone just sent me this picture that they took yesterday at the Paws in the Park.

    This girl just has fun

I'm surprised when a boxer fits in the tunnels, let alone a newfie.

We did the 18 tunnel course yesterday - twice at the mock trial. I kept getting lost because the next number was only visible from the end of the previous tunnel sort of. maybe - as if the dog reads the number. It wasn't visible from where you send the dog to the tunnel, where the next one was. But there was no way to do put the numbers any differently unless you put them over the tunnels...

And we got a clear in the novice jumping but it doesn't count for anything. Very few dogs got a clear, I just gave up on doing the handling properly and just ran and hoped she'd go the right way... erm. Some parts of the course had a direction change on every obstacle and there was no way I was going to be ahead for front crosses on all of them and we've got no rear cross either. We do have a blind cross, and I think I used that...

Annabelle loves the tunnel courses... We did a jumping and tunnel course at the dogs day out in Melbourne in December. She surprises everyone at how agile she is. She also loves the scrabble, seesaw and what we call the bridge (walk?).

She is hysterical on the seesaw, because she will rock it....just stand in the middle and rock . She will never be a winner, but she gives everyone a laugh....And she usually has a clear round

    Hi Newfie

It's not a clear round if she goes over time (spends too long rocking the see saw) but it is nice to get round without smashing the course to bits.

Dog walk - that's the bridge thing. At least that's what we call it.

We have something called a "super dogs" demo team here - and one of the courses they set up is four straight jumps, a double tunnel then four straight back. It starts as two courses with single tunnel for turn at the end...

So one dog - always tries to come out where the two tunnels join... which Royal Adelaide Show crowd find highly amusing.

She always manages to keep within the time..the only time she has NQ'd is when she chooses to take and extra tunnel. We will never be winners. Though we did get first one day (SURPRISE)..Everyone else NQ'd for some reason or other. I only doit mostly for fun and training...distance control. If I wanted to win at agility i would have a border Collie or kelpie...I used to do really well with my working kelpies.

I also won't work her too often at the height that is required...always thinking of keeping her sound

Nowadays i train for fun with my dogs, i like Obedience, but love having fun with my dogs
