I'm so sorry about the loss of your boy LL, losing a dog at any time is so devastating, but losing one so unexpectedly is an absolutel tragedy. Hugs for you!

Hey lucky, not sure about medibank paying the value of a dog, only the cost of treating ailments caused by accident or injury, though I may be wrong. I did read though the PD a while ago, but dont recall anything regarding the death of a dog.

We think because our girl is under our patio and in n out the garage
he got bored, there was a snake so he decided to play with it..
Normally he wouldn't touch a snake but then again who really knows
their dog cause I thought I did..

Medibank isn't open until Monday so I guess I wont know until then..
However I went to the web sight and it says Accident & illness ..
So would you call this an accident or maybe I am thinking and accident
as in I ran my dog over or he broke his leg due to jumping down the stairs or ??

The vet said what ever I need he'll do up a write up for my insurance..
I am just wondering how dodgy it sounds when I tell potential buyers for
my pups that Dad isn't here... How sad ..

My vet said any problems tell them to call him..

Your policy will cover Vet Expenses for Treatment incurred by you during the Policy Period up to the Benefit Limits, as a result of your Pet suffering an Accidental Injury in one of the circumstances described below. You will be responsible for any Co-payment and/or Excess as shown on the applicable Certificate of Insurance.
To qualify for Cover under this section of the Policy, the Accidental Injury must be a direct consequence of at least one of the following:
    1. motor vehicle incident
    2. burn or electrocution
    3. fall from an elevated position
    4. snake bite, or
    5. allergic reaction to an insect bite other than tick and flea bites
    or otherwise result in:
    1. a bone fracture
    2. a traumatic ligament or tendon injury, or
Bummer just looked and no they wont refund the purchase price. It is pet plan that does that.

You wont get anything because it covers Treatment or snakebite, your dog didnt get any treatment as he had passed before you took him to the vet.

Again so sorry for what you are going through.

Thankyou guys for all your kind words seriously ..
I will call my insurance first thing Monday morning and see
    what they say..

With my puppies Newsfie they are inside with me..
I put them out for a feed with her mum and bring them straight back in...

I am just thankful it wasn't my girl that got bitten.. I am so very close to her..
My boy was my Husbands dog and my girl is mine..
If anything were to happen to her I would have a serious meltdown..
Anyone thats owned a Dogue before would know what sort of nature they have.
They are totally not like a dog at all.. They truly are like a human...

I have so much to organize..
I feel so let down now that the dad to the pups is not available to view now...
I just don't know where to start..
Would I advertise them as if nothing has happen and then tell the buyers
when they come over because it just sounds too back yard now...
The vet said any information a buyer needs tell them to call him and they will
explain the death of my poor darling..
Can't believe I got the vet yesterday when the surgery was closed and he was just
walking out the door, and he didn't even charge me...

    Any advice would be appreciated...

I think a lot of people would be understanding to what has happened, if you have some good buyers lined up maybe a phone call to let them know. It was so unexpected and sad there isn't really much else you can do.

Did you have any video's or anything of him you could possibly show them when they come around?

and a picture of us putting his to rest so buyers can see..

    So so sad..
I have all his paper work and plenty of pictures,
I guess this will be enough..
