Was the snake there with him? Just wondering as it could still be around and your place is its territory. Then again it could have been passing through, too.
Thank goodness the pups are too young to be out there for a while. Again I am so very sorry.

Sorry, duhhh Di. Of course the snake wasn't there or LL would have known what happened.
    Brain fog.

I am so sorry LL. What a terrible thing to happen. So sorry.

With medibank you should be able to claim back the price of the dog in the case of death. I dont think they will cover anything else because he didnt get treated for the bite as he had already passed.

Want to reiterate what Di said, be careful snake isnt stil around.

    Keira & Phoenix
do u think I can claim back the price I paid for my boy do you ?

    And no snake in sight.
We think because our girl is under our patio and in n out the garage
he got bored, there was a snake so he decided to play with it..
Normally he wouldn't touch a snake but then again who really knows
their dog cause I thought I did..

Medibank isn't open until Monday so I guess I wont know until then..
However I went to the web sight and it says Accident & illness ..
So would you call this an accident or maybe I am thinking and accident
as in I ran my dog over or he broke his leg due to jumping down the stairs or ??

The vet said what ever I need he'll do up a write up for my insurance..
I am just wondering how dodgy it sounds when I tell potential buyers for
my pups that Dad isn't here... How sad ..

My vet said any problems tell them to call him..

I am so incredibly very sorry for the loss of your boy...So sad and so unexpected. I thought you might have lost a puppy when i saw the heading.........

Big hugs form me..it is sad for all of you.

I am not sure about my policy with medibank private covering for the price of your dog. I do know that they will pay for treatment of snake bite. Had no idea they might pay for the cost of the actual dog.

I didn't even get that when my dog died unexpectedly during surgery

Just be very careful with your puppies, that the snake does not try to get them, because they would be the right size. I am not trying to scare you, but I want you to be aware and vigilant.

I loathe snakes........Thye terrify me and I am always terrified for my dogs.

I am so sad for you..........You must truly be devastated. And if you need help please get it..........I know how bad it can feel
