Lol a heap of people all brought a pug online... Apparently in the NT and the pups were going to be shipped to them, they were sent pictures of gorgeous little pups and picked them out etc.

Lol here is where for people with a normal train of thought would start wondering whats going on. They didn't actually have to pay for the pup, only the shipping of it which was $650. They had to western union the money to an account in Cameroon (they were fully aware of where the money was being sent too as well). After that was paid they were called and told to check their email to which they received another telling them to send another $600 as something had happened. End result no puppy, no money and apparently a lot of broken hearted people.

Just watched it, Dumb and dumber is exactly right..

And to make it worse, they contact the media feeling hard done by?

I would embarrassed to admit I fell for that.

Oh...thats sad but yeah, these people are just stupid. You really cant trust anyone these days.

My local neighbour hood watch have a cop that goes to all the meetings and keeps all the oldies (and young un's) up to date on all the latest scams. He now carries a piece of foil in his wallet. Apparently all it takes now is for someone to just walk pass you close enough and they can scan your credit card just like those swipe and pay things shops have nowdays.......
My mate loves to play with the 'people from microsoft' that ring with urgent advice about your computers. He asked if she could wait while he turned on his computer, put the phone down and went and ate dinner....half hour later he picks up and she's still there !!!! They are persistant little buggers.....

    Sean

With calls made using the internet - they're not paying for the time they wait on the phone and they get paid bugger all to sit there anyway. There are better ways to get rid of them. Like insist on them giving you a billing address so you can invoice them for your time talking to them at any astronomical rate you like to think of. Eg $100 a minute is good. I swear some lawyers bill at that rate anyway.

With so many dogs needing rescue and so many inhumane puppy mills around, people should be monitoring the various dog shelters as pugs do come up for rescue. I am dog sitting one at the moment and its quite a little character. It has to have eye drops and eye ointment twice a day for those bulging eyes.

MY boxer scratched a cornea years ago and the dog eye specialist told me that pugs were the most common breed for eye injuries. Eye operations are very expensive, trust me I know.
