    Default Katy's x-rays post op

I showed these to our Radiologists at work, they were impressed with how tidy his work is

Katy is walking really well.....Thank doG she is good on leash, because her mind says "I wanna play", but she is doing well on her controlled walks.

When we are in the house she is allowed loose. because our dogs have a no play in the house rule and she never goes on furniture. We also have no steps or slippery floors.

She was suffering from real crate fever, going quite mad in there.

Her bandage is off, it has healed well and she has made no attempt at licking the wound. Even though it has not been protected

Here are her x-rays post op

I know nothing about this type of thing except when my old man snapped his leg (yes snapped at a right angle half way between the knee and foot).....the screws and plates where eventually removed.

Will Katy have to go through that or is she now a Bionic dog with those screws in there forever.??

Thank Dog she is doing well.....

Unless the screws bother her in the future, which it does with some dogs/people, they can stay in........So far they are causing her no pain. I cannot get over how she has no pain. if it was up to her, we would be running and playing.

Good to hear they did such a good job and that she is going so well!

I have had a pin and screw in my upper arm bone for about 15 years and it has never bothered me in the least.

You must be so relieved at this success, it's wonderful that Katy is not at the wound, one thing less to have to constantly watch.

Training pays off ... time to kick my dog off the couch and do some work with her

That looks a great job and thank goodness she is very well behaved. Hopefully the rest of her recovery goes smoothly.

It does look like they did a great job - the no pain thing is a bonus! She sounds like the almost perfect patient.

I had jaw surgery some years ago (10ish), and had to have a couple of pins taken out (5ish years ago) because they played up a bit with my sinuses. All the rest of the metal stayed put though, with no issues.

Good god that is a clean job.
She looks so so adorable there
and totally in her own mind..
    Lucky she is well behaved.
My girl however would def not
stay there nor would she not touch the
effected area.. Well done to her..

Katy is my Puppy Kinder class demo dog and is the most chilled relaxed well behaved sweetie..........She loves being with people, so now she is happy again, sleeping near everyone ( including lying with the other dogs)
