If Nehkbet is a member of dogs vic, Nehkbet can check the litters registered against your breeder's name if you send a PM with the details - click on the user id and "Private Message" option should appear down the left side.
noooooooooo dont throw me into that poo bucket :P I'm not and I wont be for a while but I do need to get my bum into gear since I'm about to expand the clan. 2013 will be the year of Nekhbet having her own prefix

But if you want to PM me the details of the breeder I know a lot of rottie people and I can check whats going on anyway. I have a few close friends who are breeders too that can check, run me a line

I have confirmed with a Registered Victorian Breeder (whippets) that mandatory chipping by breeders came into affect 1st January 2012.

You can ring VCA and ask if your breeder is registered if you know the prefix. No puppy can be sold without papers (or papers pending). If they weren't already registered prior to Jan they will now have to have a microchip no to be registered.

    LoL at Nehkbet...

I'm a member of SACA - because I want to compete in their agility comps. We don't get any choice here - apart from Mock trials and they're fun but there's not quite enough of them - and there's no scoring or prizes which makes it hard to know if you're doing any good. For some that I've done, I don't even know if we went clear - though some I know we didn't.

The SACA journal lists the competitions, and the litters...

    I don't think I will ever be a breeder.

I have noticed also that his coat (on his back) is quite wavy also. The vet told me that it can get wavy in the humidity. But it is a little worrying i must say. This whole thing is getting me more upset the more i think about it. The worst is that you end up getting attached to your pet regardless but to pay $2,000 for a pup when the website advertises them as show quality is very disappointing.

Wavy coat is a rottie thing, it can have a different consistency to the rest, mine had it and my OH's pedigree german line had it too. Don't panic some lines carry that longer hair and he's still growing a proper adult coat so he will look odd for a while.

A lot of the european dogs have a wavy coat. One of my bitches has a slightly longer coat and it has a wave to it.

yeah thats fair enough but as far as showing a dog it is seen as a fault
