Default So, Barney has a bad back leg, but...

do you think I can get him to stop playing with Pippi?

Ive got him in a crate (well 2 clothes airer blocking off a small section in the lounge) to minimise movement (we thought it may be to do with the back strain he gets sometimes so are keeping an eye on it until tomorrow coz if it is the strain as usual then we should see some improvement by then).

Anyway, I have kinda left the "gate" open so he doesnt feel like he cant get out and Pippi went in there to lay down, and he starts whacking her on the head with his foot, which is his invitation to play. Im like, WTF? His leg hurts and he is encouraging her!!

I thought it'd be Pippi who would constantly have to be told to leave him alone and it's bloody him LOL

Really the resilience just amazes me. He is not th emost comfy at the mo, but he still wants to have fun with his little buddy.

Makes me smile (not him being uncomfy, him still wanting to play)

I actually had to "tell him off"...I felt awful too.

I just realised to I said bad back leg, he's limping a bit (but barely noticeable) which is why I said leg, but I think the real issue is his back or hips. Not uncommon in our house and usually 24 hours crated sees it right so I am keeping my fingers crossed for him being back to normal tomorrow.

If not itll be to the vet...

But yea, very hard to stop them playing. Though Pippi seems to have gotten the message it isnt allowed tonight LOL

Haha maybe she will realise that if she lets him rest tonight they can play tomorrow! Poor barny though! Hope it gets better so you don't need to take him to the vets
