Default I have purchased and we have made

I am finally doing what i preach.....use kongs for the dog to keep them entertained........

"KONG Genius Leo Dog Toy, Extra Large"
    "Kong Wobbler Dog Toy"
"KONG Genius Mike Dog Toy, Extra Large"

I am going to have to entertain Katy in her confinement.....She is usually such a busy dog. So it will be her Nina Puzzles and Kongs, frozen and hopefully they will keep her busy.

Hubby has finished her huge crate, It will be 1500mm x 1500mm and 1100mm high, with a lid....She will have her own fan, which she loves and hopefully she will be happy.

I cannot keep her in our purchased crates for the whole confinement period, she cannot stretch out properly

We have the kong wobbler. Bought it ages ago. Banjo didn't seem to like it at all. A couple of times I saw her nudge it and immediately lose interest. Until the other day when I picked it up to show it to someone and realised it was empty. So now I make sure it is filled most days. I put cat kibble in it - makes it a bit easier as it is a bit big for her.

And the lab we are minding this weekend absolutely loves it!

Would be interested to hear how Katy likes the genius kongs.

I'd love to buy some Kong's but the price is criminal. I've used some fake cheap ones when Mojo was a pup and so far they have stood the test of time but are a bit to small for him now.

Would love to see the new crate and fan setup. Sounds really cool ! I'm sure Katy is going to be one spoilt pooch while she recovers. Hope it all goes smoothly for her.

I need to look into buying toys and things online too, the prices at the RSPCA superstore i like to shop at are really expensive. I'm like sean, i go to overflow and sam's warehouse etc for my toys - but i find they like playing with boring everday items like milk bottles, socks and toilet roll's LOL

Newf would you be able to put some pictures of katy's new crate??

I will as soon as it is up...presently , because it is so large, it is folded in the machinery shed. I am using the normal crate to "train" her into knowing she will be crated. that is why we decided she had to have a bigger one. Glad we practiced. it made us realise there was no way she could live in her crate.

Sean have a look on Amazon and ebay. You can pick them up really cheap from the US. It just shows how much we are ripped off in Auz.
