We did it a few years ago. Ours wasn't very well organised, it was literally just a walk with hundreds of dogs, but I have heard other states and cities had actual events going on during the day like pet parades, sausage sizzles etc.

Yeah on the website for our area it says there are BBQ's and competitions and all that stuff!

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

We go every year..we are part of the Obedience Demo team and Annabelle and Katy do carting in between..Katy also has her Therapy dog blanket on and does the meet and greet with Lukey. They both love kids and kids seem to love them.

We also walk them around just to be seen........with out logo shirts on

I like to enter the best tricks, we have won a few of those and sometimes the largest or fluffiest dog. Lukey has a little 7 year old friend who takes him in the Grand parade. LOL..We show case our dogs a bit, its good for business.

I've gone to our local one every year for the past 10 years or so! My dogs love it and it is great to meet so many people and their dogs all striving toward the same cause.
Owning a dog should be a partnership. Much like a good marriage it should be based on love, trust and devotion until death do you part.
