I have read all 12 pages and I still think getting a dog is not the way to go.

Well, I'm not sure what you base that on. People make mistakes. Doesn't mean they cannot change. Anywho, you are entitled to your opinion, but it still isn't a very constructive comment. I know pbk has already gone through a lot more trouble and planning for his future dog than I ever have for my dogs. And I would consider myself a responsible and caring dog owner. So I trust they will do the right thing by the dog. As far as you can trust anyone you only know online...

If a person can jump from wanting a dog to might consider fish, exotic ones, in such a short time doesn't that ring alarm bells for you.

I really don't think PKB is being serious buddy. Considering he has already started construction of kennels/fencing and has picked the puppy out I am pretty sure he wouldn't abandon all of that for fish because someone suggested it... just saying.

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Admin: Please close thread. I am very happy with the all comments, suggestions and opinions from the dogforum community (positive and negative)
Thanks to everyone, I've learned a lot. I probably create new thread when I get my pup soon.

    I have closed the thread.

pbk1776 has been remarkably level headed in listening to all our comments - both helpful and not so helpful and made his own decision. I might not agree with his choice but I respect that he considered what we had to say about it.
