    Default Personal Protection Dogs

Ok so I am on Yahoo!Answers, and this woman on there said she wants to buy two PPD's, and they are $35,000 each ... thats $70,000 for 2 dogs ...

Is that a normal price!? A lot of people were telling her she is crazy and that their Pitt's and Rotties do a fine job of protecting them.

And she also said she is going to ask her boyfriend for the money because $70,000 is like $1 to him .....

With years of training they are certainly worth a lot of money. If someone has put 2 or 3 or 4 years into training a dog as a business opportunity they are within their right to ask a lot of money. I personally think it is bollocks. My ppd cost $250 - it was Cappy and it was out bond that grew over time. So yes, she is an idiot lol.

That is a lot of money to pay for a dog, no matter what it is for.
The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs.

If these dogs where that good, then I think they'd also HAVE to come with their own handlers too!

Thats what I thought! And everyone is telling her "Your crazy, just get a Rottie or a Pitt or a GSD, they will do the job fine!" and she came back with "Enough with the stupid comments, I want to spend $70,000 on the dogs ok, my question is how can I word it to my boyfriend so he will give me the money" and after she wrote that, no one else replied to her. I laughed out loud.

Haha, who says a GSD, rottie or Pitt-bull will do the job anyway?
Fools, they may keep you away until you open the gate and get attacked with kisses!

I know! My cattle dog barks like a maniac and growls and snaps if someone comes to the gate that he doesn't know (well, the other dogs do it too, but from a distance!) and as soon as you open the gate, they jump all over you and lick you to death!

Exactly, my kelpies exactly the same to strangers, hackles raised, everything, but then she'll drench your hand in slobber and soon as the gates open.
