Smile The RSPCA Million Paws Walk. It Came, It Went.

    Who went?
And which one did you go to?

I went to the mournington peninsula and was worthy of a medal.
    Marshall wouldnt SHUT UP !
at some stage he sounded like a chimp, then he sounded like a chicken!

It was utterly bizzare. and people were seperating and kind of avoiding us because of his barking...major embaressment.
Eventually he settled and made a few doggy friends-he seemed to be more interested in the big great dane, grey hound type dogs rather than his own size dogs.

I made some nice friends to. Mainly nice old ladies, very nice to talk to

    Tell me about your day!

My closest was a 240 kms round trip and because of my work I was unable to attend. I have been to many in the past and really enjoyed them.
The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs.

I really wanted to go, but I've had so much on this weekend I needed the time at home. I did go the last 2 years though and had a great time.

I went to our walk in Denmark, WA. There were about 40 dogs, a pony, a cat, some ferrets and a guinea pig!! It was a bit of fun and I came away with an RSPCA bag, some fridge magnets and I bought a doggy pedometer so I know how far we're walking. The sun was out, there were lots of nice dogs and people - it was a magic morning. However, at our normal walk time I had two little faces looking at me, (they had obviously forgotten their morning outing!) so we went out for another walk! We're all pleasantly tired, and should sleep well tonight!

We were going up until Thursday. Ended up with 1000 things coming up at the last minute over the weekend and had to give it a miss.
I pre-paid on the net so at least they have it as a donation.

Ok Sharoo - that explains why I couldn't spot you and Kimba in Canberra.

Fantastic day in Canberra BTW - beautiful sunshine and no wind (for a change!).

Huge turnout, they exceeded their goal of 10 000 entries - people that is, but there was truckloads of dogs.

I was a little concerned by some of the obese dogs participating, and really struggling. I mean, on the point of collapse struggling. Letting your dog get into that sort of condition is downright mean, but then taking it out for a long walk when it obviously isn't used to exercise??
