I don't have to use a dog park, we have a perfectly good park behind my house, a bare block of nothing that the dogs can run around with a ball and have the place to themselves. I like to go mainly for socialization for myself, being around like minded people who enjoy the company of dogs - much like this forum but talking to an actual person. It's when newbies come along when things like this take place. With the 30 odd regulars who use the park during the week, no trouble takes place.

We all usually congregate together so when we see the usual "big dog pen" users in the little dog pen we know shit is going down. This guy shouldn't be proud of the fact he got a park all to himself, i would feel embarrassed that i look like a shit dog owner who can't control their dog.

Council tags are small round plastic tags that you put on SINGLE DOGS ONLY necks.
For those of us with 2 dogs, they are a teasing nibble/chew toy, that takes 2 minutes to bite off each other and eat!

I only put my dog's collar on when we're going out. The couple of times I've taken the old tag off and put it down to put the new one on, she's chewed up the old one. Doesn't seem to happen at the park though.

I'd be calling the ranger, I do call the ranger if the owner does not remove their nasty dog pronto. Especially if it has no id tags. Because that's something easy for the Ranger to book them for. I also filled out a report in quadruplicate for a dog that was biting people and dogs and drew blood on some SWF. Haven't seen that dog back at that park and good riddance. I do feel sorry for the dog who clearly has owners who have NFI what to do and are too proud to get help.
