all you saying i should just rehome my dogs and im just making excuses, screw you's, so what your suggestions dont work for us and we prefer not to do some of them, doesnt mean there arnt other options out there for us to try. and coming on here was just a waste of time because you only have one suggestion really, to others that i have seen give different suggestions i am/have doing them, and the dogs arnt as bad as the neighbours think they are AND it is because they cant get their kid back to sleep, thats not my problem, thats theirs, my kids never wake up from them barking, and if they do they go back to sleep because they know how to without any troubles, they also dont wake up when the neighbour on the other sides dog barks and thats right outside their window. Plus, ive noticed that the other dog next door and our dogs bark about the same but the other neighbour hasnt had any complaints about their dog, and yes i have been noting everything down to work that out. and to the one saying about toilet training my kids im doing that now with my youngest and yes its annoying having to clean up the mess but just as the dogs i dont give up and i try to think of different things i can do to help improve both my kids toilet training and to try and work out my dogs. and we did get along with our neighbours till a year ago when we asked them to feed our cat for a weekend and when we came back they hadnt done shit for him and then all their shit started and i wanted nothing to do with them so i stopped popping over and kept to ourselves, we didnt have our dogs then. so this will be all i have to say on this site ill get better suggestions somewhere else and to the ones that did give me suggestions that were helpfull and not just saying the same thing as everyone else and only giving me one option when there isnt thank you.

    Ok... nice rant.

Sometimes we need to accept that things might be our fault. It all comes down to responsibility. If I had neighbours dogs barking and waking up my kids I would be pissed too. Rightly so.

Whether or not you like it, your neighbours should not be subjected to your dogs bad behaviour. Whether or not you want to accept that it's bad doesn't matter. They have every right to have peace in their own home.

There are ways to sort the problem, but all involve you actually having to participate in controlling your own dogs. If you want a magic quick fix, you're out of luck.

    1. Punctuation and ENTER!!! Goodness!

    2. Agree with Natty. Your dogs, your responsibility to not disturb the neighbours. You werent saying you had "tried" all the stuff suggested, you had a reason why you could try most of them. Just excuses IMO.

So the neighbours' kid should adjust to your dogs barking at night and it's their fault because they haven't trained their child well enough?

And you got along with your neighbours until you got dogs that bark at night. Fancy that.

In my world we train dogs so they don't become a nuisance to others. If training doesn't fix the problem, we contain them.

its our choice to keep dogs, its our responsibility that they dont affect the comfort of the people around us

Pathetic. So sick of people who don't take responsibility for their dogs behaviours.

Everytime your dogs wake their 1.5 year old, they have to get out of bed to try and get it back to sleep. Whether the kid went back to sleep quickly or not they are constantly getting out of bed to settle the child again. I would be absolutely furious if this was me and the Council would already be involved.

You have been provided many many valuable suggestions. The attitude I am seeing is that it is all too hard and you just want to neighbours to shut up and put up.

Please rehome your dogs to someone who will give them what they need, ie: training, love, attention and a HOME not a house.
People like yourself, who don't want to put in the effort should not have dogs.

It is sad that some people do not realise that ensuring your dogs don't become a burden on others is something you should do for the dog, not just for yourself.
