LOL - Are you sure? This is the most hilarious thing I have heard this year as yet. I don't think I will ever be able to take the ANKC seriously after knowing this.

Pugger, that's not quite true I guess if you are into pure breeds you need a body to regulate breeding. Fair enough. I don't have to agree to understand this. But this? Come on! Someone needs to dust off these people.

Most likely will be in trouble now but, I will have to disagree on this. I don't know about ANKC ruling ( I should know, I am a member, so i will look into it), so I will not disagree with that, but as to the purity of the next litter if bred to another purebred (poodle to Poodle). The puppies from that litter would have to be pure. As long as the bitch was only bred to a pure dog at the next mating. Scientifically the other is just not possible....There is no such thing as dormant semen or cells in a bitch. I have done too much study in biology/genetics to be able to accept this. I might be told i am wrong and I will always be open to any scientific data or proof. But it sounds more like another one of those old Breeders stories. Of which there are so many and are so ingrained to us by some of the old breeders.

Both of the DD owners (or owner to be ) who posted here got their dogs from a breeder who does health checks, breeds on demand and only produces a litter every few years. Hardly a puppy mill.

And why would a breeder's opinion matter more to me than yours or anyone else's. They have their goals and aspirations in relation to their breeding and that's fine. But that doesn't make them god.
