    Default Sick dog

Banjo has been extremely lethargic all day. Dry nose, pale gums (I think), she threw up a couple of times this morning and she just looks off and barely gives us a tail wag. I came home to check on her at lunchtime, but she seemed a tiny tad better so I decided to just see if she sleeps it off. Which I now regret because I keep checking her breathing every few minutes. She's been sleeping for hours now. Almost pushing me off the bed now, but I don't want to get her to move.

It's just too soon after our old dog Luna died. My daughter kept asking "Is she dead?" all night.

I never thought I'd be wishing for her to jump up at us or chase the cat and be her usual hyper in-your-face self. If she hasn't improved in the morning, we'll be off to the vet's first thing.

The heat has been giving Mojo grief today . All he did was lie on the tiles under the fan. I thought he mighta been crook too but perked up in the arvo when it cooled down a bit.
Hopefully Banjo's just feeling the heat too. Its not nice worrying about your pets so i hope she's ok tomorrow. Good luck with it.

lol Sean, I think the temperature never got to above 17 degrees here yesterday. It was miserable and wet and only about 5 degrees overnight.

But she perked up after 10pm! Best sloppy kisses ever.

She seems totally fine today! She probably just ate something she shouldn't have. My old dog went downhill so fast and bascially died before I could've even got any help (Sunday night and we have no reliable emergency vets), so that really affects my reaction.

    Yay, that is great!

Snoop came in night before last with a foamy tongue & looked at me like
"oh dear - I think I ate something I shouldnt have"
I washed his mouth out with the hose and then gave him some yogurt.
He was ok luckily. I think he ate a Christmas beetle.

These things always seem to happen at night or on the weekend.
