Thread: Guardian Home Wanted for Parti Labradoodle Pup

Default Guardian Home Wanted for Parti Labradoodle Pup

Is there anyone is interested in becoming a permanent guardian for a beautiful parti Labradoodle? You must live within a couple of hours drive from the NSW / Queensland border, and agree to certain conditions.

What is a permanent guardian and what is a Parti?

I think Parti - refers to the colour ie some poodles come in parti colours. If it was a border collie - you'd say tri colour or merle, and great dane - harlequin etc.

I don't understand the guardian and conditions thing either.

It's like someone wants to give away their dog but not give it away - eg you look after it and pay costs but we own it. Why would anyone agree to that?

Well I know why one agrees to it with horses - because one wants to be able to give it back if it doesn't work out or gets too expensive.

We certainly need far more information than what was given before we can even suggest anything.

I have no idea what a guardian home is either unless it is what Hy suggested.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

That is what I thought. I don't like the idea of conditions whilst looking after the dog. A permanent guardian? Is that like a nanny or a governess to the dog? I would assume a permanent guardian is the owner of the dog.

I think that there is more empty spot here than information.
This really needs to be spelt out a lot better, before people can make a right judgement on this.

I think it's just a puppy farmer wanting to sell a pup.

Or it's someone who wants to become a puppy farmer - trying to keep the breeding rights.

I think it generally means that the dog lives with you but the breeder has the right to breed according to the contract you sign (usually a limited number of times). It's an important part of getting a new breed recognised because you need more animals for the gene pool than can reasonably be kept by one or two breeders.

That being said I would never do it. Keeping an entire female dog would be difficult for me, and there is no way I could let my family member go on holidays to be bred and have puppies.
