    Default Head Halti!

Well I went and brought Harley a halti today! And I think it would have to be the best thing I have ever brought We went for a walk and there was no pulling what so ever, just a normal walk like a normal dog! lol He wasn't to happy with having it on and would try and pull it off though, but he will get over that after a while!

Haltis are a good bit of kit IMHO. I used one on a Female Swiss Shepherd who didn't like men at all, owner had spent 12 months and stupid amounts of money with a trainer that basically rewarded avoidance with treats, thus making the problem worse. The dog would pull and they owner had no control over the dog, now with a halti the dog doesn't pull, instead of growling and trying to bite the dog now sits and is introduced to males without a problem. Of course it came down to the training i done with the dog and lady but i think the halti played its part!

People at obedience use them and have said, it does take the dog a short while to get use to them, but like you they said it was the best buy.

Haha Harley was trying to use both paws to get it off, before I had the leash on he did manage to get the nose bit off!

I use one with Barney at the mo, and he can get it off in about 1 second so I have to stop all the time and put it back on.

When its on it works well though lol

Remember it is a tool to train loose leash walkingnot a quick fix. If you always use he will get used to it and it will no longer be effective.
