We just bought a Landrover Discovery, can't fault it really.

I really liked the Rav 4's but my OH wanted something bigger

I went and had a look at the dualis and asx in person and wasn't too fond of either of them actually. Really quite small inside and the back seats don't fold flat so not a lot of room for the dogs. I'm having a look into the rav 4's and Suzuki grand vitara now. Still no closer to buying anything though.

Your other half is a wise man.

"RAV 4" is japanese for "Bogged in sand" !!

I thought Rav 4 was japanese for fuel line pops off and sets engine on fire.

At least that's what happened to some of my friends who took an early Rav 4 model from Alice Springs to Darwin. Toyota offered them another Rav4 to replace it but they were not at all keen.

Another friend has a Rav4 and loves it.

Haha car shopping sucks! For every good story, there's a bad one.

If it helps - I think toyota fixed the problem with the fuel line. They also fixed a problem with spare tyres not quite held on by wire bungy cords.

I wouldnt reccomend an Xtrail as the back windows dont open.. makes for verrryyy fogged up windows and dog drool all over the back seat.
I have a 323 Mazda Astina which is small but perfect for Kaida

I guess I'm lucky he didn't listen to me by the sounds of it!

We have the 4wd and my little 2 seater convertible... the latter is not very dog friendly
