That is what I am hoping for and I see no reason why it should be like that.
But I still hope that he has missed me also, it will make my ego happy.

My two get dropped off on Wednesday morning even though we don't leave until early Thursday! The house is going to be so weird and quiet without them I am sure Murphy will be wrapped to see you first thing tomorrow!

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

I picked up Murphy a little while ago and he was so happy to see me and I loved it.
I got the tongue bath as soon as he could get to me.
I have bought him home and he had a heap to drink and then I got more slobber all over me once more.
But since then he has been sleeping, so I am guessing he didn't do too much of that being with other dogs, I think they were always barking at one another so sleep was the last thing on their minds.
It is also a little warm here so this maybe why he is resting up to.
But my boy is home where he belongs once more.

yeA LOTS OF SLEEPING when they get home is normal...being at the kennels is quite an exciting period so they get tired lol.

Like you, I always used to leave my cats at home when Iwent away. They had a cat flap and could go in or out. I would fill a giant water bowl and giant bowl of biscuits and arrange for a sister or a friend go every second day and make sure everything was full and put out some wet food.

You cant do that with dogs though LOL

Glad to hear Murphy missed ya and is home safe and well

Just took him out for a piddle and he had a bucket load.
Once that was done I bought him back in and we had a play around and now he is sleeping again. But this won't be for too long as the boss is due home real soon and he hasn't seen her yet since we have been home.
So I dare say there will be the excitment piddle like he did when he seen me and the jumping up to say I missed you to.
I even think he has grown a little in those few days away.

I should have put this in but I just remembered it while I was on the site and read a thread about wanting a friend to play while they were at work.
Well when I picked up Murphy from the Kennel. We were driving home and we had to go close to where I have taken Murphy to play with my mate 3 year old Border Collie.
As we were about to turn onto the main street across the road was when he lived and he seen the ute and I was watching him as his tail started to wag.
I know he know the ute and I know he was wanting us to go there for a play.
But it was just so cute to see a dog knowing who you are from a distance.
I don't think I will ever forget that.

Aw that is cute! They seem to have really good memories when it comes to knowing where other dogs and stuff live!

    Yer this is so true.
Even little Murphy knows where all the dogs in the neighbourhood live when on his walks.

Having worked in a kennel for 2 years, i know how stressful it can be for the owners to leave their little babies somewhere foreign but 90% of the time they have the time of their lives, you will know when you take him next time to the kennel whether he loved it or not, seeing by his attitude walking in. Did he sleep for a couple of days non stop because thats normally behaviour from all the excitment haha.

He did do a lot of sleeping since we picked him up.
And I think you for the insight to this. I means a lot as I know I have no idea how or what is done while they are there.
