I'm not sure there is a hidden agenda, BUT he certainly doesn't reply to questions which disprove his theories. And yes clubsprint, i can provide evidence if you would like!

Yes but it's not rational. There are more dangerous things to be scared of. And getting rid of all the pitbulls won't make clubsprint safer.

For starters - worry and stress increases your risk of heart attack.

So if it's irrational fear that is really what this is about, I do recommend a therapist. And maybe contacting the Amstaff club with a view to desensitization.

But the way Clubsprint has been posting in here - does not suggest any fear to me.

None of my questions have been answered, so hidden agenda by omission? But I've got to agree with Clubsprint, the agenda seems very obvious to me, even if I think it has no reason for it that I can understand ie something based on science, stats, or facts.

I do think both of those ideas hold weight! Clubsprint needs to meet a good "pitbull" and see why i'm happy to let my nieces and nephews put their face near my staffy(a situation clubsprint can't trust his dog with - neither would i if i owned a kelpie cross)

Clubsprint, go back to that same thread... there is a post of mine with half a dozen of your posts quoted in reply. I couldn't answer properly as I was at work on my mobile while on a break.....

I don't normally need to post links or third party information because the majority of the time the ones that I have have already been posted and ignored by you.

Hey! I have a kelpie cross, anyone can put their face around his, throw their arms around him, cuddle him, kiss him, invade his personal space and the most he will do is give you a kiss. Doesn't mean I allow strangers to do so ever, but I would, without question trust him around kids of all ages. Some dogs are not as accomodating as mine, and that is down to the individual dog, never the breed!

sorry i've only really known kelpies that were working dogs and most working dogs like to nip. My post was made thinking about the working dogs(kelpie and border collie) that i've known - probably should have thought a little more before posting. Again, sorry.

    Erm not me.

What I was suggesting is that anyone who has a fear that is completely irrational should get some therapy.

I also suggested that I didn't think that clubsprint was posting out of fear.

Can't say for the rest of thems that think therapy is appropriate.

Personally I like a diversity of opinion but I like to have logical arguments, I find emotional ones pointless.

That's not basic forum etiquette. If we could only ask questions in one thread per topic there wouldnt be much need of a forum would there? We could all just go to yahoo answers or something.

The OP is treating everyone else as morons? I am seeing the complete opposite to be honest. In fact, that whole paragraph could be turned around. Noone is looking at anything that will prove them wrong and noone is conceding any points in the discussion.

The fact is, not everyone likes pitbulls and not everyone has to. I don't agree with BSL but I also don't agree with a poster being slammed by a number of other posters because they have a differing view.

I'm feeling all mature today LOL

I don't particularly care whether clubsprint likes pitbulls or chihuahuas or pet spiders or even fluffy pink unicorns, that's their preference. What I'm getting annoyed with is the CONSTANT slander of an entire breed based on myth, rumor and media scaremongering instead of sound, logical, scientific fact.

I am also annoyed with the constant push for BSL when it has been proven over and over that BSL doesn't work - entire countries are withdrawing it and pushing for responsible ownership, that is the crux of it IMO. Why introduce, and push for a set of laws that do nothing for prevention, cure or provide even a partial solution to a problem?

Yes that poster is now on my ignore list too.
