IMO that isn't an attack. He voluntarily stepped into a dog fight.

I understand his motivation but still...the fact that the lab was uncontrolled is another issue.

Paramedic Dan Jeffery said the man was injured while trying to protect his own dog.

"The man bent down and put his arm out to try to separate the dogs. As a result he suffered quite a deep bite mark to his arm and a cut to his nose," Mr Jeffery said.

But Di Dee it was still an attack, the Lab attacked his dog. So still an attack, and the man was injured while protecting his dog from an attack.

IMO the reporting in relation to this story is pathetic. They concentrate on the story for a total of 15 seconds and then start talking about dangerous dog laws and show pics/video of bull breeds.

Maybe they should ban labs now too
Clearly all labs are viscous savage man eaters.

I actually got attacked by a kitten the other day. Maybe I should have called channel nine

Its a huge fear of mine, walking along and a dog starts mauling your dog. What do you do?

I would think try and stay as calm as possible and try and get the dog off/away?!

When ever I seen an odd dog walking I just don't make eye contact and keep walking! by odd I mean acting peculiar...
