    Default Rather Srange Behaviour

Took Jorjie for her morning walk, but she simply wouldn't go past the second up hill corner. Quite unusual for her. She indicated that she wanted to go back, so I started off down the hill and decided to go another way, but she refused to go past the first creek. She wanted to get back home. I checked her over - no ticks, no injuries, no sore spots. Could it be that the fox we've seen lately was lurking around? Or is it that there's a car rally going on throughout the hills and she could smell something different? A bit of a puzzle for me. She usually enjoys the morning walks. I trusted her instincts and came home and played soccer and fetch ball in the yard and she was happy with that.

I guess if there is no obvious sign of illness or injury then just let her be for today. Perhaps try her again tomorow and see if you get a similar reaction. Or when the rally is finished if it is a couple of day type one.

Sometimes dogs can perceive things we cant, like the smelling sense is 1000 times better than ours, so they may be picking up something we don't know about. Could be noise, smell etc.
If you find yourself going through hell; Don't stay. Just keep on going.

I smacked myself over the head - I'd started off a load of washing before we left home - she always lets me know when it's finished so she can "herd" the washing trolley to the clothes line. That's what she wanted to get back for! Sheesh!!
