Please don't apologise for sharing the video Jadie.

Sat through it and yes some bits were a tad graphic, perhaps an emotive tug, but also helped re-inforce past attitudes about dogs in general back then.

    Moving on to 2011...

Guess it was a fluffy feel good kinda story very pro the breed, but hey, any education is a good thing provided it's balanced and it's information is accurate.

Good stuff and thanks for sharing.

Proud history of fighting? Sorry but that's the exact attitude that does stick in peoples minds.

Videos that show what great dogs they are don't need to have the graphic footage. Dogs fitting into family environments, playing with children and other pets... fantastic, but don't remind people who are 'on the fence' about the breed about the bad things.

Just my opinion, obviously I'm the only one here so don't sweat it.

Yeah I fully understand where you are coming from! And I suppose to people who have no idea about the history/fence sitters it could be confronting and a turn off. Everyone interprets things differently though, I just thought it was great seeing the good outcomes, and their smiley faces!

To me personally I think its important for people to realise where they came from... as it said before the 80's they were very popular family pets (after the bull baiting/dog fighting bits of course) until they started to become a status symbol and got a bad rep.

Oh I should add that the comment about being proud/fighting history - I posted before I seen your first one, I had just had one lovely family member on facebook have a go at me about it!

Ahh okay sorry jadielee, I completely misinterpreted that!

It is good to see their smiley faces after all they have been through, but only for those who already know what a great breed they are
