His pictures are so deceptive Chopp, he's between Kelpie & English Staffy size, very muscular and he has the Staffy smile lol. You'll have to meet him I think! I call him my pocket Kelpie lol.

I can tell you there is definitely no shepherd in him at all

I've had Black shep enthusiasts ask me about who he came from/where he was bred etc when they see his pictures, then very quickly change their minds when they meet him!

I can see the staffy in your dog in that profile shot. There is a touch of the staffy jaw there. But I cannot really see it in mine.

My last dog - who was also a stray before I got her - had this massive ridge on her back. Looked more like a mohawk. Of very wiry hair. So the ridgeback and wolfhound were very obvious in her. It was only shortly before she died that I realised that her stripes came from a staghound though. Someone once referred to her as a kangaroo dog. Which to my knowledge was just any mix of sighthounds. (And this dog could bring down kangaroos!)

So maybe I should just make up some new name for a bitsa like mine.

Angelanbatty I can definately see some staffy in him, thats probably the only mix in there that I could say I definately see.

As for your pooch Beloz, I see about 8-10 dogs I would say I 'possibly' see in there, But I think there is definately quiet a few in there.

Like others have said he is your dog, so he is the best dog in the world.

He is very cute anyhow, such a gentle looking pooch

She's a real winner. I am so chuffed that I saw her potential. This is my second dog and my second rescued stray. My first dog I got from the RSPCA when I didn't even intend on getting a dog, but I saw her and I loved her straight away. This one I picked from at least 100 dogs from rescue organisations and pounds and RSPCAs. I drove about 800kms to get her! I didn't care what she looked like at all, I was after the right temperament. And after having had her for only a week, I know I found it!

Truley!! He doesnt look small at all in his pics,in fact I thought he was quite leggy lol! Would love to meet the Bat Dog though one day

Now that just does really go to show how one should be careful of putting a 'label' on a photo of a dog I guess

Mum was ACD x Kelpie Chipps, dad is the unknown, but almost certainly had staff in him somewhere.

It's really hard to get the idea of him from the pictures, but you'll be happy to know you'll be meeting him in two weeks time (27-28 August) so you'll soon see what I mean!

Compared to his mum he's short, stocky and built. She looks a LOT like the dog you've posted pictures of, and wow she's a cutie!

    My dog leans on me.

I've had labs, vislas, ridgebacks, staffies, kelpies, border collies, shar pei, and other dogs happily lean on me for a back scratch. I don't think it's staffy specific.

Brindle - thats something some staffies have. And whippets and greyhounds - and some ridge backs that don't meet breed standard - ie they come out brindle or ridgeless.

Not sure what other breeds have brindle but there's probably some.

And the curly up tail - me thinks spitz or huski like dog.

    Ears - I dunno.

Distantly related to Shar Pei - what colour is the dog's tongue?
