Ive done that too but the ruddy things were too loose and kept coming off or sliding around.

Yep they're tricky, it took me a couple of packs to work out the perfect size. I buy the ones with the grip tabs and do them up pretty snug.
I take them off her if she's sleeping on her dog bed and overnight in her crate as I can just wash the covers.

Undies are a good idea too as the bleeding is a lot less heavy than incontinence, you could use velcro on the inside of the undies and attach panty liners.

OMG we are heading to two and a half weeks of bleeding. Its starting to get really dark now so I am hoping it is on its last legs.

Her first "period" lasted about 5 days, I know it was under a week!!

Ordering nappies today, I put it off expecting it to only last a couple of days but jeeze. This is Crazy!!

    Poor BL...

I'd be a bit worried about 2.5 weeks of bleeding. Bitch (or woman) could end up anaemic after a bleed like that. I don't know what's normal but that seems excessive even for a canine.

No I have heard 2 weeks can become the dogs normal cycle.

No that still could fall in normal range . It really is an individual dog type thing. If she had been becoming lethargic or off colour or bleeding had been going for 21 days plus then a trip to the vet may have been in order.
