    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.

    I think I'd rather take on a bear than a Greater Labrador

    Isn't it interesting how Annabelle the greater labrador has worked out which face gets her dinner most reliably.

    Hey, newfsie, I have a book called"the dog that saved my life", it's about heroic dogs in the armed forces, the first story is about a newfoundland that was adopted by a us army airforce base in canada during world war 2, his name was Gander. Your photo reminded me of the story as quite often planes coming into land would call the control tower saying they can't land because there was a bear on the runway!
