Its funny how we abbreviate our dogs names to many.

    My boys name is Scoobie,

    He gets

    Scoobs
    Scooba
    Rooby
    Big Oaf
    Big Fella

I'm sure theres a couple more as well.

I always spend ages choosing a nice name for my dogs and then find nick names just seem to happen naturally. Sometimes the nick name takes over.

Weyland my last Deerhound was mostly know as "Way".
    He also got
    "Big Cuddly"
    "Snuggle Man"
    and for some odd reason
    "Wet Nappy"
Don't know where this one came from as he was spotlessly clean inside from the day he arrived home at 8 weeks.

Ancient old Pug Arwen is often called "Pin" or "Arwen Pin".

Her mother Roane answered to the name of "Weed". She was the smallest of the litter at birth and when she started to grow a little boy said "she's growing just like a weed" and the name stuck. She answered to Roane, The Weed, Weird Roane and Weirdo.

Current Sheltie pup Kenna is a very lady like dog. Her name means "fair maiden". So why have I shortened her name to Ken?
