Default My Puppy is Sick...i Think

My pup is only 9 weeks old and she has heaps of energy, although today the last 2 days she has been coughing and has vomited up a clear high viscous fluid. Her is looks inflamed and she shakes her head alot, also her balance seems to be off on the side with the inflamed ear.

Can anyone help me with these symptoms.?

I have booked her into the vets today i just wanted a different opinion.

    Thanks,

Could be an ear infection? Some breeds are prone to them (those that tend to get hair growing in their ears) but all can get them. Hopefully it's nothing more serious.
I think the vet will definitely be best placed to give you some help - good luck and let us know how you go

OK. Just got back from vet.

She has kennel cough and one of her lymph glands on her throat is swollen which is also causing her ear to swell. I have to keep an eye on the swelling and massage it a couple times a day to help it drain. overall i think she will be fine the vet didn't seem to concerned. She also has antibiotics for the kennel cough.

Thanks for you help and concern,

Hope she has a speedy recovery! my dogs had kennel cough last year and as long as they get treatment they are generally fine, my friends 14 year old dog caught it from my dogs and he also got over it quite quickly.

Well wishes for the little pup.......Manuka Honey ( it has to be Manuka from health shops mainly) really helps with the coughing and Vit C helps to fight it off

Ah, sounds like you've got it quickly though, so I'm sure she'll be fine

Kennel cough is fairly innocuous so I wouldn't be too concerned. She is very young though and a lot of illnesses will knock a baby around. Lots of rest, lots of tlc and the care of you and her Vet as a team and she'll be fine in no time.
