I feel that anyone, breeder or not is entitled to their own opinions and should not be labeled a troll if they go against the popular grain. Gees, lighten up.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

    You're my hero.

Seriously, your attitude is pathetic. As a rescuer, I re-homed dozens of dogs. Did it harm any of them - OF COURSE NOT! They're a damn dog!

I doubt it was the opinion that caused the comment, it was the serious asshold attitude to Pugger's comments and to breeders in general.

I am more for the double standard kind of thing. I cant find it perfectly acceptable to get use a dog till its done its job and then re home it to possibley a verry loving home no doubt but a family arr unable to re home their pet wether or not its going to a great home never seams to matter. It doesnt matter if its better for the animal because a dog is for life! Its like these dogs dont get to live until they are retired!

I am a whats good for one its good for them all.

Pugger, I am certainly not saying that ALL show breeders are unethical, and I believe the showies would agree with me. I have a very good friend who is showing 2 dogs, so I know there are those that are doing the right thing. This site is all about the well being of dogs and sharing information, and I have just bought up a few points that I believe are valid, as you have. I am sorry if I annoy you because that is not my intention.

Firstly: the very first post this person made was along these lines:

Hi I am after a Boston Terrier for a friend, but not from a showing breeder as they don't give a crap about the health of their dogs.
How do you think show breeder would take that comment Di? It's not only just an assumption, but it's a far fetched blanket statement.

Secondly, when I said that being a registered breeder is a business, she not only challenged me on that, but accused me of being a person who happily re-homes dogs myself when I am done with them.
Again, another assumption and another distasteful snide remark.

I don't call people trolls very often, but this one, who claims to be a registered breeder, yet makes comments like she does, has me seriously doubting her legitimacy.

Perhaps a better way to word it would be it is in the best interests of the BREED in general.

If you think the next generation of your kennels dogs is going to be fantastic, but you are already over your limit do you just let it go?
Do you deny the entire breed new and fabulous stock that could potentially enhance future dogs all over the country because someone thinks it's wrong to rehome one single dog?
Of course not... we all care about dogs, but some of us really care about our chosen breeds and are trying to improve them.

People - it is a DOG. The greater majority of dogs handle re-homing like a walk in the park. It is the owners who think the dog will wither and die without them or that it is not good for them. What isn't good is being in a home that doesn't give a shit about them or where they are abused.

    Realism and priorities.
