Most breeders retiring older dogs, will desex them and home them in homes they deem suitable.. most pet people who want to get rid of their dog do it anyway they can, including dumping at the pound... there is a big difference... troll the local papers, and facebook pages... I picked up a staffy pup yesterday... Need gone Now... 9 weeks old... didn't ask my name, doesn't know any details about me... there is a huge difference...

Thank you dee, for the quote tip?
Whoa there cavalier. I think you need to pull back a bit here. Pugger doesn't even breed dogs.

I am commenting on the practice of rehoming in general. I dont agree with it, I dont feel it is in the best interest of the animals, and that includes horses. My thoughts are that people should only keep what they can manage. Just my personal opinion! I have spent quite a bit of time in the past few days reading the posts here. There sure is a lot of valuable information, but also quite a lot of judgements being handed down to posters by certain breeders. People in glass houses should not throw stones. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and certainly should not be treated with the harshness I have witnessed on some posts on this site, myself included after my initial post.

They are selling puppies. Do you think they should keep every off spring their dogs produce also?
The breeder of my dog had 18 cavaliers all indoor dogs. All allowed to sleep on the couch, all given love and attention.
When I contact HER asking if she had an adult dog she wanted to re-home, she said she had been considering re-homing Miley for months. It's not like she decided she had no use for her, so piffed her out the front door. She came to me desexxed. The breeder checked out my home before saying yes. She also came micro chipped. She also had me sign a contract promising to return Miley to her in the event I can no longer keep her.

You have come to this forum claiming that show breeders are unethical and don't care about the health of their dogs. Now you claim they treat their dogs as disposable objects. You are really getting on my nerves.

I dont see taking the dog from its home, into a new environment is "in the best interest" of the dog. If you cant afford to keep so many....then dont get keep them in the first place! You can have a breeding program and show, with just a manageable number of dogs. And when they are to old to show or breed, let someone else take the reins, and let them live out there days with you?
You obviously need to re-read the comments made to date and you need to lose the attitude.

No-one has said that 'breeders' judge those who have a change of circumstance. PEOPLE judge people who need to re-home. Not breeders, just people in general.

The more I read of your comments, the more I can what kind of person you are. I am beginning to regret showing you any respect in an earlier thread.

You see that everywhere its really sad. I have seen pups sold as 8 weeks old, that would be lucky to be 6 weeks. I rescued (stole)a crate of 4 pups (6 weeks old) from a market, covered in fleas, sickly and the saddest little guys I have ever seen. Of course there is a difference...what im saying is that it is not in the best interest of the dogs, dosent matter how much you want it to be for personal reasons.

Now this proves you don't have a viable level of comprehension. Most regular posters her are dog owners, not breeders. In fact, there are very few breeders who post in all reality.

Also, your last statement is so damn hypocritical it makes you look like a total tosser. All you have done is treat people with 'harshness' in this thread because they have stated an opinion. Get over yourself.
