Thread: Buying a Crate in Melbourne

Default Buying a Crate in Melbourne

I really need to get my 14mth old pup crate trained and want to pick up a crate. I was going order one from Steve @ K9Pro but its an extra 30% on top of the crate price for postage. I am not a fan of the metal/powder-coated cages and I know the dog will chew on them and destroy her teeth. Would prefer a max budget of $100, Darla is only 20kg and a bull terrier cross but probably about the same size as a blue heeler or cattle dog.

Any recommendations for good pet stores in Melbourne would be great too!

i bought my soft crate on ebay for just over $100. The store was called Pet Homes & Accessories (they're in qld). Really good quality for the price and only took a week to arrive.

I got my crate from Vebopet - they courier to your door. But can't deliver to your PO box.

I was looking at these, How hard would you think it would be for a dog to destroy it?

So no decent pet stores in Melbourne that won't charge like a wounded bull.

I wouldn't use a soft crate as they don't circulate enough air and tend to smell after a short period of time.
I haven't had a problem with my dogs chewing on a metal crate.
