CL - that's why I think the animals are best outside.

Most restaurants contain ingredients that make me sick and they quite frequently neglect to mention that there are peanuts on the garnish or in the cold rolls etc. I just send it back. If I eat it, I won't die but I will feel nauseus - ie won't be interested in returning - ever.

So should we ban cats - and all ingredients that make people ill?

Why not? My brothers school has banned peanuts.

We could go on forever, it's just my opinion that dogs do not belong in public cafes unless it is stated they are allowed.
I would happily take my dogs to a dog friendly cafe, but I definitely would not take them to the local bakery down the road for a cuppa outside out of respect for other patrons.

Went out for tea last night at our Fav african steak house.

As I sat and ate my beautiful meal I looked about the place. It was packed (strange for a tues night??) and I tried to picture if even half the people had brought their dogs and well, I found myself not really liking the idea.

There were kids there too. A beautiful little girl , about 2, she ate her meal, then watched a dvd her parents had packed for her (no we could not hear it and she was right next to us) and she did not scream or cry once. There must have been about 15 kids of varying ages, included our own teenager who graced us with her presence. Not a single one of them was loud, naughty, obnoxious or caused any drama.

Is there a phobia about children? Paedaphobia??

It's funny, in Europe dogs seem to be allowed almost anywhere. People don't have backyards etc so it's "normal" that a dog would escort them out and about. I didn't have a problem with it.
