Well got back from work today (7on7off) to some good but bad news. The breeders have decided to refund us in full, but want the pup back. so we are taking her back tommorow.
They weren't interested in compromising at all in order to keep the pup. Just hope they dont put her down

Most of accredited Staffy breeders on the CCCQ site are breeding blues, take a look.

Thats good/bad news.... i hope they do the right things with the puppy, i.e finding a nice family and not charging an arm and a leg for it.

Blue staffies are far more likely to have health problems than any other colour. I would not get a blue staffy. If you really want a healthy blue dog - consider a weimerana.

There was a huge thread on that other forum about someone who paid a ridiculous amount of money for a rare blue staffy - and got the most unhealthy puppy in exchange. Most of its fur fell out - it looked like the worst case of mange. Staffies often have sensitive skin and the blues are the worst for this.

And a lot of the people who are breeding for the blue colour are not as responsible as this breeder seems to be. They would refuse to give a refund at all.

And any scammer or puppy mill can have a website. You really need to join the staffy club in your state and meet some dogs and breeders face to face or find someone with a staffy you like and ask them where they got their dog. You can't go by a website or even the cccq breeder listings or dol listings - because they all have dodgy breeders as well as the good ones.

I'm glad they're refunding you but am also worried whats going to happen to the puppy.

Weimeraners are great I've had two and they've both been lovely!

thanks everyone, I have managed to find another blue little girl. She has excellent bloodlines and is 7 weeks old this weekend. So will be picking her up next break. She was a little dearer, but i trust this breeder as she is good friends with my mates wife. And She actually gave me alot of advice.

If the *blue* colour is a fault in the breed standard for a staffordshire.. why are people paying rediculous prices for them??? i dont understand..
