I got recommended 43 different dogs! half of them, i've never heard of. "Weimardoodle," "Saint Berdoodle," "Boxerdoodle"..what's with all the poodle mixes!! :S

3+dog - pitbulls actually make great family dogs. they are excellent with children.

It has suggested me 155 different dogs including the Xolo Xoloitzcuintle, Mexican Hairless, Xoloitzcuintli, Xolo

I saw them on the TV the other day. Hairless dogs are cute.

Yup yup. They were known as the Nanny dog because of how good they are with children. They have solid temperaments (when bred correctly not necessarily when BYB)(even as fighting dogs they were bred for NO human aggression as the dogmen had to grab the dogs quickly in the pit, any dog who bit a human was culled or removed from the breeding program. Champion fighters lived as family pets in between fights) with a high threshold for pain which is a must around children.

They NEED to be bred properly and temp tested. Remember many were bred for fighting purposes, so there are lots of aggressive PB's.

Its off the subject but I would never get a Pitty, I guess I couldnt even get a dog that I am scared off and honestly they scare the sh1t out of me! So do Bull terriers, that nose just freaks me out!

I LOVE bull terriers, can't resist those faces... but then again, I like the strange looking dogs!

Pitbulls still have a long way to go to get back their good reputation, and honestly, I don't think it will ever happen.
The bad breeders outweigh the good and only the hardcore lovers of the breed are still working on improving it (and its reputation).
They are status dogs, they have nearly always been status dogs and without culling every badly bred dog in the country the breed is beyond help.

Which is what I stated they have solid temps (with people, children etc) when bred correctly not by BYBs. I wasn't even touching on DA as we were talking about PBs and children.

That is what I thought too, we had a mate who had a Pit X and I was afraid of it because of all the horrible stories about how they just snapped and then I got Phoenix and she is a dog you could never ever be scared off she is just soooooo sweet. They don't just snap people just don't read the signs before hand like any dog involved in an unexpected attack. They are sweet things and I would be more than happy to introduce you to one if your ever around my area. This is the reason they get such bad names though is because people are scared of them even though they have never even met one.

Haha about the Bull Terriers honestly they are such mild dogs. Stubborn but sweet. I know several and they are the most gorgeous, mild mannered dogs you could ever meet. The ones I know love to mother any puppies and protect them it is so cute.
