    BEST INVENTION EVER!!

I got one for Rox and she loves it, though we use it for playing, not drinking (unless she gets really thirsty!)

I must say though, the ones from Big W are best (IMO) because they don't have the ridged lines at the bottom. They stick up and hurt your feet when you stand on them.

I agree Big W ones are the best but I think Kmart may do them to. They're less sloped then the other stores and have a flatter bottom which is better for dogs.
Kaida does that with her water to, she also tries to 'eat' the water coming out of the hose. She just likes playing with it! So we have two buckets and a shell, all outside though. I like the water bottle idea!

Shell here as well one in the pen as well as gravity fed bowl thing connected to our tank water.

In summer the other half of the clam shell is in use for extra water and wallowing in.

Inside they have a large plastic bowl.

I've also seen those automatic fillers on eBay. Not solving the mess but at least they won't run out. Were getting one when we finish building our shed and fix up the yard

    Ours looks like this.

Operates like the toilet cistern does. Hubby ran pipe in from the tank and also put a tap there for me to fill and clean the clam shell pool.

Can photograph it tomorrow if you want.

My dogs have a bucket and a clam shell.

Pippi will not drink from the clam shell (Barney will) but she will play in it. She always wont play in it when it gets a tiny bit dirty.

And she will still put her front legs in the bucket and splash the water everywhere. Then she cant drink either because she splashes so much water out she then cant reach it coz shes too small to lean over the top of the bucket LMAO

My girl loorves water and used to tip her water bowls over, we now use buckets, clam shell, & large tupperware containers everywhere. Fortunately she is now too big to fit in most of them and has better manners than to tip them out
